Do I Really Go For Looks??

Just today I was talking to a friend of mine in chat and we were talkin about marriage and relationships. I'm kind of an expert by now on what I am looking for nowadays since I talk about this topic quite often. Anyways, after talkin for awhile, he concluded that I go for looks.

Don't get me wrong, but looks are important. Its not extremely important that I depend on her looks to get with her but its what attracts me to get to know her. I like using my book theory to relate my message a bit cleared. Imagine books on a bookshelf and you need to pick one up to read. Now, theres lots to choose from but what makes you pick up a book instead of the other depends solely on the title on the cover. It's what attracts you to pick up the book from the first place. Now having that book in your hand, you flip through the pages or possibly read the summary on the back to see if you will really be entertain to spend a week or so reading this particular book. If you find that the story is not your type, you simply put the book back, no harm done...right??

So I co-relate book to a girl. The cover, or her looks is that pulls me in to get to know her a bit. If i get to talk to her and I find that she's not they type of girl I can see myself settle down with, than I'm putting her back on the shelf. Well...you know what I mean. I don't want to mess with anyone's feelings and most importantly, I don't want to waste any time. Especially mine. But I don't have that problem since I can never go up to a girl and ask her for her number. Im shy that way. I dunno....

Anyways, it was a good conversation and it almost ended until he brought the point that I am very flirtatious!! I don't think so. Im just a nice guy...Don't you think?!! ;)

Momma's Boy!!

Amma...Ma,mom, mother, however you want to call her, it really should be Supermom! You think of your mom when u r away from her, you then realize how important your relationship with mothers is.I have no complaints on my relationship with my mom but we as children should know that we can really do something for our mom... all of us can.

It's always the little things she does thats so breathtaking and they make it look so natural that they care that much. It's such a mom trait to have. We must all have that feeling to know that we are the luckiest kids to have great parents who care, and would do anything just to make us happy. I remember so many times that my mom would eat so little just cuz she knows that what she cooked is my favorite and that I might be asking for more... or how even when she is in her bed and and she knows that I wanted chai before bed, she would wake up and make it for me. I know I'm spoiled but what would make me worse is if I drank that chai and didnt appreciate and recognize what she did. I can only THANK GOD for giving me one of his precious gifts because I know I couldnt buy her anything money can buy to equal what she's done for me.

But I spoil her too. Since my arrival to sussex, i had to call her from the time i landed airport to until i got settled in my accomodations. I have told her that it is expensive here to make a call so that she will not get tensed, but she calls me every week. I guess that is how mom is. I am very proud to have her.Anyways, I know my mom won't be able to go on the net, type my web address for this journal entry and read this to know how i feel about her, cuz that would be too much for her, and I won't say to her how I feel either, but I will try express it more in actions and try to become a son that I know she will be proud of. For the record, I LOVE YOU MOM!!!. I know some people may consider me as a momma's boy but what the harm after all im kinda proud of it!!

Life in muscat

Sleeping at least 12 hours a night has definitely benefitted my well-being during this vaction. I usally get woken by my mom( my latest alarm). The first thing i do is go and sit in front of the tv and have the tea. Wow!! living a life of a king. before i know i am pushed by my mom to bathroom. This it not a kings life...is it?After an hour in the bathroom( Hey ppl dont visualyse what i am doing in the bathroom). Then I get dressed. Today I am wearing a brown roll-neck sweater. Brown pants. I look something like a chocolate pastry. anyway who cares, i am not going out after all.My breakfast comes to the table with coffee. And I poured the coffee into a mug( the mug was given to my company where i had worked before i came to sussex) I felt a little bore. But today? I feel like I own the day. So no matter how I felt otherwise, I wasn't going to let it stop me. i am going to sleep again....he he he

HISTORY OF THE MIDDLE FINGER

Well, now......here's something I never knew before, and now that I know it, I feel compelled to send it on to my more intelligent friends in the hope that they, too, will feel edified. Isn't history more fun when you know something about it?

Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future. This famous weapon was made of the native English Yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as "plucking the yew" (or "pluck yew").

Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying, "See, we can still pluck yew "PLUCK YEW!" Since 'pluck yew' is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodentals fricative 'F', and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one-finger-salute!

It is also because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the longbow that the symbolic gesture is known as "giving the bird." And yew thought yew knew everything.

enjoy and bye
